I lied. One more update
Go ahead... call me a liar... but soooo many things have been going on the last 2 months AND so many prayers have been answered AND so many are asking for another update that I thought it would be a good idea to show a few pictures.
It is Thanksgiving day as I write this update. We indeed have much to be thankful for. Sam is doing more than I ever thought he would be able to do when I saw him lying in bed the day after his accident. Just take a look at the pictures (if they are not on the site yet, they will be there shortly) as a testimony to answered prayers.
The photo of Sam plowing snow was taken this morning as he plowed the driveway after our first big snowfall of the year. This ATP (All Terrain Pickup) also has a front end mower so he can do our mowing during the summer.
The photo's of Sam sawing and drilling are from his 3 day service project at Camp Tall Turf with Ada Christian School.
The outdoor photos are at Turkey Run State Park in Indiana. With the help of Luke, my brother Kurt, and one of Luke's friends, we were able to get Sam through some hiking trails AND through a canyon and a creek. We also went on a 5 mile Kayak trip which he did unassisted.
Sam is also practicing with the Grand Rapids SLED WINGS sled hockey team. He will be traveling to Ohio in January to play there.
In spite of Sam's accident, Kris and I turning 40, and Luke having his AC joint dislocated in Football and then having 4 wisdom teeth pulled 3 days ago, we do have much to be thankful for. God's Grace, our Church, and the love of friends and family.
We hope you have happy holidays. God bless!
