He keeps on Truckin'
We have had a good couple of weeks concerning Sam. He is crawling better and faster every time. He can to over 1/16th of a mile without a rest stop and then get into a adult "walker" and using leg braces go around the track another time placing one foot in front ot the other. He is doing amazing!
Some other good news is that RIM (Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan) has signed a lease with Champion Sports in Rockford. They have moved the equipment in and we will be able to start his Rehab there in December. That is great news for the people from the west side of Michigan who currently travel to Detroit a few times a week. That alone will save us 15 hours of driving a week!
Next week Dr. Lima from Portugal will be at RIM and will meet with Sam and some of his other patients. We will get to hear about some of his other patients from aound the world and be able to ask some other patients how they are improving.
Sam's attitude remains strong and he is working very hard. He continues to amaze many with his progress and determination. We continue to treasure your prayers and notes of encouragement.

This is such great news! We are following Sam's progress closely. We are waiting for a meeting with Dr. Kuldanek (Dec. 1st) to find out how we can get Josh into this therapy program in Rockford. We have the application all filled out, but have to get the prescription from Dr. Kuldanek. We are hoping Josh will have the same progress that Sam is having. Hopefully Josh will succeed without having stem cell surgery.
Keep up the great work Sam and always keep a POSITIVE attitude. God is blessing you and your family through this. Just receive it and GROW!!!

Hey Sam,
This is soooo awesome!!! I know I didnt have it half as bad as you but im starting to walk again (after about 2 years with/o crutches and 5 years with/o prosthesis) after my hip replacement and its amazing! I cant even imagine what you must be feeling like... Keep up the hard work!!! Don't let the slow progress discourage you... when you feel like its going tooo slow, look at were you were less than 4 months ago and it'll amaze you... Take care... hope to see you either at hockey or b-ball in the future (I'm not going yet cuz of doc. restrictions still tho...)

Greetings Sam Wassink it's rather cold here today, but summer is comming to our part of the world soon. I was looking for the latest most up to date information on prayers and I landed on your page. Although He keeps on Truckin' is not an exact match I can see why I ended up here while looking for prayers Great stuff thanks for the read.....now where did I put that surf board !

Well Sam Wassink interesting post. I was looking for Info on daily prayer and I came across your site and while He keeps on Truckin' wasn't an exact match i was most interested to read what you had to say. Ok He keeps on Truckin' wasn't exactly what I was looking for but it got my attention and interest , now I see why I found your page when I was looking for pray to god anyway I'm glad I stopped by you have a great blog.
